BMS Chairman, Thomas Mace-Archer-Mills appeared in today’s national newspaper, The Daily Express, where he took on the Leader of the Labour party, Mr. Jeremy Corbyn, over his republican political agenda, whilst using the death of Diana, Princess of Wales as a platform to gain support and momentum for his cause.  Just days after the princess was killed in a car crash in Paris, Mr Corbyn told Daily Express: “I would be happy to join a Republican group. The mood of the country has changed dramatically since Diana’s death”.
Despite Mr. Mace-Archer-Mills’ remarks about Labour Leader Jeremy Corbyn, he was quick to remind readers that, “The BMSF has several Labour Patrons who love, cherish and support the institution of Monarchy and understand the role it plays within the constitutional aspects of our nation… Let us be clear that Mr Corbyn’s actions and political thoughts are not that of all Labour politicians and/or party members/voters.”
